Some of us are familiar with the adventure of Ged and the lovely priestess Tenar in the first two books of the Earthsea series. The animation Tales from Earthsea is taken from the 3rd and 4th Earthsea series. Produced by Studio Ghilbi (yes! I'm a big big fan!!), the animation is pretty well done. Though I suspect there is a lot of editing in cutting down much of the story to fit into a 2 hours long animation.
The story tells of Prince Arren who has killed his father and ran away from home. He met with the greatest magician, Ged, the Archmage of The Magic School of Roke. Arren slowly came to face his own demon (Shadow) as he unites with Therru on a journey in search of the evil who has disrupted the Balance of the world.
I love the story and the animation. A great animation to watch anytime of the time.
