X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Wolverine oh wolverine. What a hunk he is! X-Men Origins: Wolverine is everything about Wolverine.

In the first X-men movie, we saw some snippets of Wolverine past but have no clue who he is or what he is or how he is made with such special metal on his exo-skeleton. Everything about Wolverine, aka Logan is revealed in X-Men Orgins: Wolverine.

James Logan (Wolverine) and Victor Creed (Sabertooth) are blood brothers. Both run away from home together in 1845 after Logan kills his adopted and biological fathers. In the years to follow, both brothers fight in many wars from World War I to World War II and Vietnam war, always protecting each other. One day, Stryker come to recruit the 2 boys into a very special elite unit of mutants.

Logan eventually gets tired of their missions and left his teammates. He retires as a lumberjack in the Canadian Rockies, living a simple life with his girlfriend Kayla Silverfox (another mutant, unknown to Logan). For six years, life has been kind and peaceful to him until Victor shows up one day and kills Kayla. The raging Logan is filled with vengeance and agree to have adamantium infuse into his exo-skeleton so that he can have his revenge on Victor, only to discover that he has been tricked by both Stryker and Victor as part of their experiment, Weapon X.

There are many exciting scenes and other mutants who are making their appearance in this movie like Gambit, young Cyclop, etc, and of course Wade who becomes Weapon XI aka deadpool, the nemesis. I shall not reveal more of the movie or its plot. A movie worth its wait. Go watch it today.

Do stay end till the end of the credits as there are 2 bonus scenes. Apparently there are 3 versions of the ending bonus scene with either Weapon XI picking himself from the rubbles, Wolverine drinking in Japan, and another mysterious character picking up Weapon XI. I got the Wolverine one.

Ratings: 5 out of 5 fairy clouds. A movie I do not mind seeing another time because of the nice scenery as well as exciting fights. It does get your adrenaline pumping for the moment, wishing Wolverine will win after everything. Not to mention just to see what a nice piece of hunk Hugh Jackman is as Wolverine. Ahh.... I am just melting away.
